Athens, GA is continuously voted America’s Best College Town and the eclectic offerings of downtown and surrounding area makes it a unique vacation destination. For those wishing to stay overnight, Athens offers a number of hotel accommodations to fit most budgets. The Georgia Center Hotel and Conference Center offers a limited number of rooms. The Holiday Inn on the corner of Lumpkin and Broad Streets downtown is the closest hotel to campus, though downtown offers a number of great hotels that are within easy walking distance to north Campus and the Arch where most UGA bus routes can be accessed. All visitors may use the UGA Transit service for free.
