Chester Joyner
Research
Dr. Chet Joyner is a trained immunologist and parasitologist. His research program focuses on understanding the biology of Plasmodium vivax, malaria immunology and pathogenesis, and the biology of B cells and plasma cells. Dr. Joyner’s research uses cutting-edge technologies to develop new treatments and control strategies for malaria while simultaneously improving our understanding of host immune systems for the improvement of vaccine design and the development of immunotherapeutics for infectious diseases.
Education
PhD, Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis, Emory University
