Once a month, Institut Pasteur field teams drive out to villages such as Chok Char (pictured here), to collect blood samples and patient data for testing transmission of Plasmodium vivax as part of an ongoing longitudinal study. These participants are in these rural villages spend time living and working in forested areas with higher levels of malaria transmission.
